The La Ferrata Guest House is in a recently restored historic house, close to the start of the splendid Cadino (Rio Secco) Via Ferrata, from which it gets its name. It has 6 rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, television and telephone; several rooms have fridges. There is also a large room with kitchenette that sleeps three people. A buffet breakfast is included. The guest house is in the hamlet of Cadino on the SS 12 Trento (18 km) to Bolzano (40 km) road, and is 4 km from the San Michele all’Adige - Mezzocorona exit from the A22 motorway (direction Bolzano) making it an excellent stopping off point if you’re travelling through Trentino on a long journey between Italy and Austria or Germany. It can be easily reached from the Adige Valley cycle path, which is just 300m away. It is also perfect for anyone looking for a cultural weekend close to Trentino’s historic centres, or those who enjoy walking and outings in the mountains or food and wine tours. In winter, skiing enthusiasts have the Paganella ski areas just 20 km away. Essential places to visit include the Museum of the Customs and Traditions of the People of Trentino in San Michele all’Adige, the historic centre of Trento with its Castello del Buonconsiglio and MUSE, and the many wineries of the Piana Rotaliana, where the famous Teroldego Rotaliano, prince of Trentino wines, is produced.
