This ancient path connecting the Favogna plateau with the valley floor was also known in the past as the “priest's path” (sentiero del parroco), since until 1820, Favogna/Fennberg (South Tyrol) was part of the parish of Mezzocorona, where the priest had to go to register births and deaths.
