The Black Eagle is one of the most significant historic buildings in San Michele all 'Adige, right at the entrance to the town.
Over the centuries, it has been a point of reference and refreshment for travellers and famous people, including Maximilian I, Pope Pius VI and Goethe, thanks to its function as an inn, military station and post office along the Via Imperiale.
Today you can admire its elegant architecture and discover the external frescoes brought to light by recent restorations: on the west façade you find allegorical scenes and historical figures, while on the south one stand out the Wild Man and Woman and a sundial
Inside the building you will find a wine bar that offers wines and local products at km 0, ideal for aperitifs and quick lunches. Next to the wine shop you'll also find the tobacconist's shop, with a wide selection of Cuban cigars to pair with Trentino grappas.
