Lourdes Grotto

Churches, buildings and monuments

On the slopes of the mountain, just above the town of Mezzocorona, you will find a special place: a large natural cave transformed into a sanctuary.

The history of the Grotto of the Immaculate begins in 1911, when the parish priest of the town decided to dedicate it to the Madonna, inspired by the apparitions of Lourdes.

Since then, it has become a place of recollection and prayer for our community and beyond.

Over the years we have enriched the cultural value of this place with a panoramic rest area.

Reaching the cave is simple: from the valley station of the Mezzocorona cable car, climb along a short paved road closed to traffic, the "Cammino del Rosario", immersed in the woods.
