Whether on foot, by bike, or with a harness and helmet, you can explore the Rotaliana Königsberg: the heart of Trentino to enjoy in every season! Discover its landscapes of plains, hills, and rocky cliffs, and choose the outdoor activity that suits you best.
In this article, we have selected 7 activities you can enjoy in every season in our area.
1. CLIMBING VIA FERRATAS
From March to November, you can have fun tackling our via ferrata routes through winding canyons and forest trails. Along the way, you’ll pass caves, tibetan bridges, and waterfalls. At the top, enjoy wide panoramas over the vineyards below, which change color with the seasons.
If it’s your first time, you can be accompanied by one of our Alpine Guides, who will teach you how to use the safety kit and necessary techniques for a worry-free adventure!
2. DISCOVER THE AREA BY BIKE
Explore Rotaliana Königsberg by bike with the Giro del Vino 50: a circular route of about 50 km, stretching from Roveré della Luna to Lavis, covering the entire area. Ride through charming villages, their vineyards, and panoramic hills with traditional farmhouses. Stop at local farms along the way for a taste of local flavors. If you wish, you can be accompanied by a Bike Guide, who will share stories and insights about the most fascinating spots in our territory.
3. TREKKING AND HIKING
If, like us, you love the open air, the sun on your face, and walking slowly among the vineyards, here you can choose from numerous flat routes suitable for you and your children along the Noce stream or the Avisio and Adige rivers. If you prefer something more challenging, there are several vertical routes – from gentler hill trails to more demanding paths on Monte di Mezzocorona and beyond.
Choose the difficulty level and elevation gain that suit you, and enjoy a healthy walk immersed in nature!
4. FISHING IN RIVERS AND STREAMS
Are you a fishing enthusiast? In Rotaliana Königsberg, you’ll find numerous areas to try your hand at catching various species: Marble Trout, Brown and Rainbow Trout, Chub, Pike, Grayling, and many more. If you are experienced, simply purchase a guest fishing permit online or at authorized offices and check the access zones. If you are a beginner, we recommend trying the Sunrise on the Noce: fishing and breakfast along the river experience with a Trentino Fishing guide who will teach you the secrets of this sport and our territory.
5. CLIMBING OUTDOOR ATTRACTIONS
Test your adventurous spirit: cross our suspension bridges and skywalks, and feel the drop beneath your feet! With a bit of courage, stop to take some photos: from here, you’ll have a unique perspective of the territory and the surrounding mountains. They are free, open all year round, and – vertigo permitting – accessible to everyone!
6. have a PICNIC BY HIDDEN LAKES
After a refreshing walk, stop for a picnic immersed in nature. At the foot of our mountains, hidden spots await for a relaxing moment surrounded by birdsong and the murmur of streams. We recommend Del Sole and Ischia tiny lakes (located close to each other), which can be reached on foot in a short time from Mezzocorona or Mezzolombardo.
7. SKYRUNNING ON MONTE DI MEZZOCORONA
Skyrunning (“running towards the sky”) is the perfect discipline for those who love combining physical effort with full immersion in nature. Whether you are experienced or looking to try this specialty, don’t miss the climb to Monte di Mezzocorona. The route starts from the village of the same name and reaches 891 meters above sea level, following the mountainside.
Thanks to its features and the stunning views along the way, it’s an open-air training ground that you can enjoy all year round.
