We are the people of Lavis: we built our houses along the banks of the Avisio stream. The iron bridge has always separated us from the city of Trento.
Eccentric figures like Tommaso Bortolotti lived here. We owe him the creation of the Giardino dei Ciucioi on the rocky face of Doss Paion. A vertical garden with romantic and mysterious architecture, where he cultivated citrus fruits. A place where our grandparents played as children and that you can visit today.
Strolling through the colorful alleys of the town center and the old "Pristol" quarter, you can browse the windows of historic shops.
We also live in the hills, in the small village of Pressano and in the many 'masi' (traditional farmhouses) surrounded by vineyards, typical rural dwellings where today we produce wine, welcome our guests, and offer dishes with local ingredients.
Our wineries are committed to enhancing especially the white wines of the Avisio Hills, including the native Nosiola, Chardonnay, and Gewürztraminer.
Not many know that it was right here that Giulio Ferrari, the father of Trentino and Italian sparkling wine, began his adventure.
